Aerial spraying scheduled
Horry County Mosquito Control will be conducting aerial spraying on Thursday, August the 13th 2026. The spraying will occur 2hrs prior to sunset and 2hrs after sunset, weather permitting.
Spraying locations on this flight include:
• Stone River Rd
• Pilothouse Dr
• St. Julian Ln
• Red Wolf Trail
In the event of rain, the makeup day will be Friday August the 14.
The chemicals used for mosquito control spraying are approved by the EPA and SCDPR, they pose minimal risk to humans or animals. Individuals with asthma or other respiratory illnesses may wish to stay indoors and close windows and doors during spraying. In addition, homegrown fruits and vegetables should be washed, scrubbed, and/or peeled before eating.
To help keep our local honeybee population safe, beekeepers are urged to contact Horry County Stormwater to identify the location of their colonies. You can submit the location of your hive(s) online here: https://www.horrycountysc.gov/departments/stormwater/no-spray-request/
